Job Description

We are working on an excellent opportunity for an energetic self-starter with a track record of success in surgical sales to join our client as a Territory Manager across the Newcastle, Durham and Sunderland regions. Our client is in a phase of expansionand growth, so this is an incredible opportunity to join a collaborative team and a forward-thinking organisation as they look to dominate the minimally invasive surgical space!The companyWe’re working on behalf of a rapidly growing, international medical device company. With a product portfolio ranging from urology to general surgery, ENT to obstetrics, they specialise in surgical technologies for minimally invasive surgeries and are knownfor having a fantastic reputation in the market and offering an excellent training programme and company culture. The roleAs a Territory Manager, you’ll arrange and travel to your appointments with surgeons in various hospitals and clinics to implement the use of our client’s products. Following a 7-week training program, you’ll be well-equipped to engage in peer-level conversationswith surgeons and nurses in the operational theatre.Other responsibilities include:

  • Creating effective business plans and approach strategies
  • Demonstrating the use of our client’s products to surgeons, staff, and nurse
  • Attending orientation, education, and scrub sessions
  • Working closely with the Customer Service team on tenders, quotations, and samples
  • Being an active member during company meetings and product training
  • Organising and attending conferences
The requirementsYou’ll have 2+ years of experience in medical sales in hospitals (ideally surgical) with a proven track record of success, as well as…
  • Degree Educated in a relevant discipline
  • Comfortable in an operating room environment
  • Demonstrable experience building strong interpersonal relationships with key clinical individuals
  • Experience in managing accounts from prospecting through to implementation
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • High organised and able to prioritise effectively
  • Positive, driven and results-orientated
  • Flexible and willing to travel across parts of the country when required
  • Requires you to live across Newcastle
