Job Description

Are you looking for a fast-paced role within a company that is at the forefront of their field in 80 countries worldwide with a 2 million strong customer baseAre you a Senior Front-End Developer with confidence leading a team of developersOur client is experiencing huge growth all over the world and are looking to appoint a new Chapter Lead to take vital ownership of the front-end side of the business.Youll develop team members and get hands on with UX, performance, quality, and security. Youll provide solutions and highlight issues that drive improvement.The role will be based in Highbury in London 4 days per week (plus 1-day remote working) so the ideal candidate will be within commutable distance to the office.Responsibilities:

  • Manage the existing team of Software Engineers
  • Take the lead in developing a bespoke, highly scalable front-end application
  • Lead ongoing iteration of the user interface and functionality to improve the user experience
  • Take full ownership of front-end web apps
  • Stay up to date with new technology and be willing to bring new ideas to the table
  • Be willing to help in other areas and learn new skills if necessary
Experience:
  • Confidence leading a team of 4+ developers through full development cycles
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
  • React.js popular workflows (such as redux)
  • Confidence with JavaScript (es6)
  • Excellent core front end coding skills (HTML, CSS)
  • Third party integrations and APIs
  • Familiarity with testing using frameworks such as Jest.
  • Experience with Babel, webpack, NPM, Yarn etc.
  • Familiarity with Git (Bitbucket, GitHub)
