Site Supervisor - Installationand Service| Global travel required | Permanent | Up to £40,000We are recruiting in the UK for anengineering team for a Global Machine Manufacturer. We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to lead a team of Installation and Service engineers with aMechanicalbias,Electrical,PneumaticsandHydraulicsexperiencewould certainly be advantageous also.Working in a team of 4-8Engineers (depending on the size of the job), you will TRAVEL anywhere in the world for 3 weeks at a time, installing and servicing machines or components for a GlobalMachineManufacturing business. So, you will beaway for 3 weeks. You will then travel home and have 1 week off, before travelling back to the site, or a different site, depending on the size of the job. So before applying you must ensure you are happy to travel the world. Which is obviously a fantasticperk in itself as you will have evenings and weekends to explore.You will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring and performing installation and operations at customer site on complex projects with the goal of mechanically and electrically delivering a machine line.Receiving world class training, you will be given the knowledge and tools to:Prepare: Which involves coordinating with Project Coordinator about the installation work to be performedon site and the set schedule. Checking documentation received before starting the work (project assignment, drawings, manuals) and informing (Senior)Installation Engineers about plan of action. Perform preparatory work at customer location to facilitate installation work. Uponcommencement, on-site verification of facilities. Checking required facilitiesand presence of proper tool-pen/tool containerand materials, ordering additional tools and materialsinternally if necessary.Organise: The coordination of installation work on customer siteon complex projects within the set schedule. You will be the first point of contact for (Senior) Installation Engineers, Project Coordinator and the Customer On-Site. Monitoringthe planningand coordinating the daily progress of the work with the Project Coordinator.Installation: Involves assisting with mechanical and electrical installation of machine line in accordance with established schedule. Settingup, aligning and assembling the machine line at customer location and connecting cabling. Point of contract for technicalaspects during installation at customer site.Testing: Mechanical and Electrical testing of machine line with the goal of delivering working machine line for commissioning Engineer.Evaluation: After completion of each project, evaluation of the progress of the project is reported to the Project Coordinator. At Induction of new (Senior) Installation Engineers/CommissioningEngineer feedback on performance to superior.Your training will also include Knowledge Transfer, ProcessImprovement, Quality, reporting and Safety.To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills to work well with external customers whilst also working closely with internal people of the team.
