Zenith People are working with our client who are recruiting for an experienced Site Electrical Engineer. The main purpose of the role will be to support the facilities engineering team by ensuring the continued operation of the calibration systems and electricalequipment within the company. As the main Electrical Lead Site Engineer for the business, you will be responsible for ensuring that all new required electrical and calibration compliance communicated and adhered to.Specific Job Responsibilities:*To generate planned electrical maintenance and remediation programmes for all electrical systems and services including fixed wire T&I, Emergency Lighting, Fire systems etc and compile/maintain the site hazardous area inspection to comply with current regulations* Review and modify planned maintenance task instructions, ensuring the compliance with all relevant statutory safety requirements.* To establish and maintain electrical service contracts with specialised external agencies whilst carrying out risk assessments and produce method statements for all internal work carried out on electrical systems.* To provide technical support and representthe interests of the Engineering Department during validation and project implementation.* To generate policies, procedures and work instructions for the operation and maintenance of all electrical equipment.*To review the use of electrical energy on site, making recommendations for usage/cost reductions.* The optimisation and operation of the facilities equipment (and ancillary equipment) to meet Productivity targets with compliance to schedule, documentation, safety and GMP requirements.* Provide Engineering support to operations Management to ensure the speed and quality of problem solving on immediate production and facility issues.* Working as part of a flexible team completing any given task to maximise performance, for example general repairs and assisting with wider manufacturing engineering activities across the plant (but not inclusive).*Identifying areas for continuous improvement and taking the initiative for implementation.*Logical fault finding and diagnosis, acting as technical support to the frontline Technicians*Deliver training required for the up skilling of other team members.*Ensure that all plant and equipment is safe to operate in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety legislation.*Build Quality into all repairs and modifications during engineering works carried out as part of the facility upkeep and provide performance improvements on a weekly basisRelevant Skills & Experience:*A strong team player with a flexible and open communication style with the ability to direct and train others.*Effectively communicate to all functions and provide technical support leadership.*Knowledge of safe working practices.*Understanding of compliance with EAWR*Proactive approach to engineering maintenance management.*Methodical approach for problem solving/technical execution*Assist in the development of projects working with the technical support team to perfect and streamline new and current processes.*Willingness to learn and use other non-core craft skills associated with running production lines and those needed for both other sections of engineering and new plant and equipment.*Experience working in a facilities engineering environment.*Understanding of health and safety legislation regarding safe working practices.*Experience investigating performance and quality issues.*Exposure to Continuous improvement and lean techniques.*A proactive mind-set with the ability to work effectively within a team understanding how your role within the company can have a huge impact on the larger business.*Have a can-do flexible approach.Educational Background:Time-served/Qualifications in Electrical engineering.Desirable: City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition Wiring RegulationsDesirable: Electrical Test and Inspection certification.Desirable: CompEx certificationIf you are an experienced Electrical Site Lead Engineer with exposure to both Maintenance & Facilities please click apply now and a member of the team will be in touch to discuss this position further.
