Job Description

Role Introduction The Advanced Application Modernisation Division utilises a combination of specialised software solutions and highly skilled people to automatically convert some of the largest legacy software systems in the world to modern day platforms and programming languages.We are widely considered to be the global leader within the Mainframe to Java based code migration vendors.As a Senior Java Engineer within the Application Modernisation Division you will be working within a global team of very talented people delivering complex customer facing projects as well as strategic product roadmap activities. We support a multitude oftechnologies and are looking for dynamic Senior Java Engineers to help us keep our market leading position.The Senior Java Engineer role is a remote working role #LIRemote What You Will Do

  • Write well designed, testable code
  • Troubleshoot, debug and fixing bugs
  • Identify the gaps and come up with working solutions
  • Review code and establish best practices
  • Design software solutions
  • Look out for latest technologies and match up with use case and solve business problems efficiently
What You Will Have
  • 10 years of development experience in Java and Java frameworks
  • Core Java 8+ (streams, generics, lambdas)
  • Java libraries (some of - Guava, Apache Commons, Dependency Injection, AOP, Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring, Hibernate/JPA, JSP, Servlet)
  • Good command of TDD/Unit Testing, Clean Code
  • Strong SQL / Relational Databases skills
  • Practical skills in CI/CDsome of Git, Maven, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, Jira
  • Excellent problem solving and algorithmic thinking
  • Ability to take ownership of business problems and technical solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
