The CompanyTo support a major transformation programme were delighted to be supporting a household name with head office in Newcastle.The RoleThis role will join an agile development team and take on hands-on Java development responsibilities. We are looking for a Senior Developer with a strong Java engineering background. Candidates will be well versed in approaches to engineering automation and with some knowledge of DevOps practices of continuous integration and continuous deployment. Alongside the team you will develop and test the software which supports key services.The PersonCandidates must have excellent Java development skills however should be comfortable working with a wide range of technologies. Exposure to JBoss, Weblogic or other application server technology along with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) would be beneficial. Were looking for senior developers whore comfortable with the control of smaller projects, responsible for the development and test phases, coaching and mentoring junior developers, working closely with the architecture team to understand and deliver on requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer to join a very forward-thinking organisation whore in the early stages of a significant transformation.
