Our Newcastle office is currently recruiting for a Senior Integration, Development and Data Manager. Wecelebrate multiple approaches and points of view and believe diversity drives innovation, so were building a culture where difference is valued.The TeamThe Integration, Development and Data team is a new, combined function that will require an uplift in capability and capacity. We are looking for an experienced individual to join us on our journey of transformation and growth. You will lead a small teamof integration/application developers (incl. automation) and data specialists where you will be managing resources, and team activity whilst ensuring delivery in a timely manner. You will lead the growth of this area through reengineering initiatives and standardisingthe adoption of new toolsets whilst expanding on the current capacity/capability of the team.Quality of service delivery & support is key, as is a knowledge of application development/integration, RPA + Workflow Automation and an appreciation of infrastructure design, preferably, within a legal framework/architecture. Strong problem-solving skills,team management/coordination, customer engagement and a pragmatic approach will be required to be successful in this role. This a permanent role, within an area that requires day-to-day leadership, coordination, innovation-driven and forward-thinking.The Role

  • Extensive experience (past development experience an advantage) in managing teams proficient in a wide range of programming languages including SQL Server (T-SQL), .Net 6+ (and Framework for legacy apps), C#, Asp.Net, PowerShell, Java Scrips, Python, Azureplatform/DevOps experience.
  • Experience in managing RPA and Workflow Automation development (MS Power Automate and Automate Anywhere). Experience in the broader MS Power Platform is advantageous.
  • Experience managing SQL database innovation, support, maintenance, and exposure to various hosting solutions (i.e., Azure).
  • Solid technical skills and experience in the full Software Delivery Lifecycle.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver projects aligned to the area’s delivery commitments (in-house & 3rd party) within the Change Management delivery process. Manage and influence the technical delivery of these streams within projects, in line with agreedspecifications.
  • Collaborate with the Architecture teams to understand the requisite standards, frameworks and tooling constraints applied to security, data, technologies, and integration development and ensure that these are successfully adhered to by the team.
  • Build an integration Centre of Excellence, delivering and maintaining enterprise integrations that build future capability.
  • Evaluate, adopt, and maintain industry-leading processes/toolsets/standards & patterns within the team – integrating tools already used within the wider organisation where applicable.
  • Constant collaboration with the Applications Team to ensure alignment between Applications Support, Integrations and Data.
  • Own, escalate and manage incidents/tickets within the team and with suppliers or other internal teams (including building effective service relations with suppliers and the broader internal IT community).
  • Provide an internal escalation point for Integration/Data/development issues.
  • Monitor and maintain data processing and data feeds between systems.
  • Assess, change, and establish best practices within the team’s support processes.
  • Develop and execute a strategy for continuous improvement through the modernisation of legacy applications, integrations, and data.
  • Oversee and manage the move of the SQL estate to Azure, whilst modernising legacy instances (Established strategy to be implemented for ongoing modernisation).
  • Collaborate with the Change area/project delivery team to ensure just-in-time resource availability for planned programs and projects. Build relationships with partners to ensure capacity demands can be managed using partners when required.
  • Resource management and team management – oversee and plan for the uplift of team capacity through partners by representing the team during project portfolio planning. Manage core teams’ training schedule to ensure continuous development.
  • Facilitate the creation of technical documentation and of hand-over from projects.
  • Collaborate with the project delivery team to ensure adequate support models are in place for new deliverables.
  • System Ownership – Act as the service owner for all defined applications within the team’s area of accountability.
  • Asset Ownership – Catalogue, remediation, and maintenance of the assets (Test and Production).
  • Knowledge articles – Ensure knowledge and support articles are created and maintained.
  • Be available for escalation-related standby and manage the teams out of hours responsibilities.
  • Change Management – Represent the area in CAB meetings, assessing the impacts of changes whilst owning the approval process.
  • Meaningful reporting on the state of the support tickets and project progress whilst establishing strategies/execution plans for both.
