Job Description

Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Azure, O365)Newcastle Upon TyneJoin an award winning global business, which invests heavily in technology & innovation, to support our continued success! The Senior 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer is a business critical, central services, IT aligned role. You will be responsible formaintaining the groups global infrastructure, ensuring that all infrastructure operations are online, with minimal downtime. The prime focus is to actively monitor & maintain O365, Azure, Security controls and network devices, while engineering and deliveringenhancements to the environment.You will work closely with our global infrastructure team in delivering improvements, projects, resolving issues. Its a fast paced, dynamic role, best suited to someone who prides themselves on being dedicated to internal infrastructure, in a fluid, enterpriseenvironment. This isnt your ordinary inhouse IT support role!We can support you with further IT certifications internally, to stay at the forefront of the industry!*Unfortunately we are not able to provide sponsorship for this position.*Your role will involve:

  • Managing Microsoft 365 & Azure AD in an enterprise environment
  • Ensure the groups infrastructure sustains a high level of uptime
  • Perform proactive maintenance on all infrastructure devices to ensure all devices are secure, up-to-date and patched
  • Provide 3rd Line IT Support to resolve IT tickets pro-actively and time sensitive manner
  • Build & maintain server applications and hardware
  • Ensure the groups infrastructure can sustain planned business growth and project implementations, via effective capacity planning technics
  • Own the maintenance, integrity, change and testing of the groups IT backup and recovery policies.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
  • Previous experience in a 3rd line support role, able to manage change on a regular basis
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure and 365
  • AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator
  • SC900 Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
  • MD100 + MD101 Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Administrators (autopilot / endpoint manager)
  • Strong skills and experience in Implementing & managing single sign on, MFA and conditional access rules in Azure.
  • Strong Skill and experience in managing, maintaining, deploying Intune & Autopilot
  • Strong knowledge and awareness of Security & Compliance
  • Advanced Windows Server skills, including DHCP, DNS, WSUS, Security, AD, GPO.
  • Advanced PowerShell and scripts skills
  • Monitoring best practices and configuration
  • Meraki Administration with Firewall, Switches, Access Points
  • Certification in AWS desirable
