Job Description

The CompanyNational multi-site business is looking to recruit a Senior End User Computing (EUC) Engineer to lead the drive to delivering and managing an "evergreen" estate.The roleAs a technical specialist in EUC, you will lead on all its activities designing and delivering the roadmap. Owning the platform across Intune, SCCM and RDS, you will lead the development on all areas including MDM and the businesss continuing move into the cloud with Azure, using WVD. You will be responsible for the deployment and on-going support and management of the EUC estate including Windows desktops, application delivery using RDS and mobile and virtual builds. Specifically you will:

  • Design, plan and maintain the Windows 10 deployment, regular servicing, vulnerability management and incorporate security baselines.
  • Scope, design and deploy software packages and Windows Endpoint Builds using ECM/Intune, AirWatch, Microsoft App-V and Active Directory Group Policies.
  • Manage and own of the EUC toolset (Microsoft Endpoint Manager / Intune Co-management)
  • Undertake application packaging, scope, delivery and lifecycle management.
  • Maintain and develop the Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS) infrastructure
  • Ensure security compliance across the EUC estate and undertaking vulnerability remediation activities.
  • Undertake mobile device management using AirWatch and Intune.
  • Maintain an “evergreen” approach to the EUC estate for head office and Operating Companies.
  • Provide 3rd line BAU and escalation support
  • Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems (Rotational).
  • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

  • Document all solutions and processes.
    • The requirementsYou will be experienced in developing and implementing efficient and effective working practices including but not limited to MS AD, Group Policy, SCCM, MDT, Application Packaging, MS-Intune, FEP, Azure, O365, DHCP, MS DNS and KMS. Being MCSA qualified and possessing at least Azure Fundamentals, you will be well versed in RDS and be proficient in managing a Windows 10 estate with aproven track record of Windows 10 image creation, automated deployment (task sequence) and update utilising Intune or SCCM as well as having Windows 10 Deployment (MDT / SCCM) and Windows 10 App store deployment experience. In addition you will:
  • Be proficient in package deployment RDS/APPV
  • Be an expert in Active Directory management, GPOs, Security groups, DNS and DHCP.
  • Highly competent in end user packaging of software (AdminStudio, Install Shield, Re-Packager, App-V)
  • Possess Powershell and Batch Scripting experience.
    • Though some remote working is available, you will be expected in due course to be in the office c.3 days per week.
