We are looking for experienced Psychological Therapist (High Intensity Therapists - CBT, IPT, EMDR) to join our team. These posts would suit those with one of the following qualifications: • a Masters Level Qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy recognised by the BABCP• full IPT qualification and IPT supervision as recognised by IAPT• EMDR qualification and accreditation as recognised by the EMDR associationYou should have experience working within a Primary Care setting with a wide range of Mental Health conditions. You will provide a timely adult mental health assessment and offer effective signposting as required whilst delivering evidence based psychological therapies to those identified as experiencing common mental health problems. Some evening work is an essential part of this role. In house supervision is provided. You will be responsible for your own caseload.Applicants must demonstrate essential requirements from the job description, key elements of this include;• Qualification and accreditation as specified above.• To be eligible for accreditation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with the BABCP.• Commitment to delivering CBT/IPT/EMDR as the main form of intervention• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development with significant experience of delivering a wide range of therapeutic approaches to mental health problems in a primary care setting and knowledge of the High Intensity therapy and its use in primary care mental health work or experience with routine outcome monitoring & ability to meet agreed specified service targets.Talking Helps Newcastle is an alliance between Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear Mental Health Trust and Insight Health Care. These posts are with Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.We provide a range of services to people living in Newcastle upon Tyne using a Stepped Care framework of service delivery. As well as providing one to one psychological interventions through our varied workforce we also provide a range of educational and group based psychological treatments, bibliotherapy and computerised Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. We deliver our service through locality teams each lead by a locality coordinator. The teams are multi-disciplinary and include counsellors, primary care practitioners, clinical psychologists, CBT Therapists, psychological wellbeing practitioners and assistant psychologists.Full Time/Part Time available
