Duties:
  • Responsible for conducting thorough assessments of children and adolescents who present with mental health concerns, including gathering information from multiple sources, such as parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals involved in the childscare
  • Work with the child, their family, and the multidisciplinary team to develop an individualized treatment plan that takes into account the childs diagnosis, strengths, and needs, as well as the available evidence-based treatments
  • Oversee the delivery of psychological interventions, which may include individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and other interventions
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior psychiatrists and other members of the team, including trainees, to support their professional development
Requirements of the Consultant Psychiatrist:
  • MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent.
  • Full GMC Registration
  • Experience working in the UK
  • Extensive experience within Psychiatry
  • Completed post-graduate training
