Job Description

Our Client:Nigel Wright is pleased to be working with a global, market leading business, to recruit an experienced Production Supervisor. The role will be based at their high volume manufacturing plant.The Opportunity:

  • Lead and motivate a team to deliver safely and effectively to targets
  • Maximise productivityandefficiencies through the use ofLean Techniques
  • Manage team and individuals performance throughtraining, development and appraisal activities
  • Support quality investigations and corrective actions to ensure high standards are continually achieved
  • Collate, review and report production and team activities on a weekly basis
  • Contribute to the development of relevant company systems, processes and procedures
About you:
  • You will have at least 2 years experience in leading a team within a manufacturing environment
  • Certification/Award in a Management or Leadership subject, or equivalent NVQ
  • Experienced in the use of Lean Techniques such as Cellular Manufacturing, Kanban, Genba Kanri, 5S, or other relevant tools
  • Excellent communication skills in order to positively engage across all levels
  • Good MS Office/IT skills in terms of data collection and presentation, as well as the use of an ERP system
  • Ideally, you will have experience working within an Assembly environment
