An Independent firm in Newcastle are seeking to appoint an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join their team of tax specialists as they enjoy continued growth.As part of an experienced leadership team of Managers, Directors and Partners you will be responsible for jointly leading a small team of Tax Assistants and Seniors with their day to day portfolio of compliance. This will entail reviewing their returns,technical guidance, workflow, billing and ensuring deadlines are met.You will also have your own portfolio of complex personal tax compliance and associated advisory work. This will involve attending new business meetings, preparing new quotes, answering queries, handling difficult client situations at times and being ableto adapt to different scenarios that might require a different approach to the norm. Your previous experience will equip you to know how to handle each client, at times you may need to apply a more analytical mind than just following process.Working with HNWI, Directors and families (some with Trusts) you will really get to test your knowledge and get involved in a wide range of interesting work. Your peer group all have their own technical strengths and you will find yourself very well supportedtechnically day to day.Applicants will hold preferably CTA or ACA, with a minimum of 5-6 years UK tax experience having operated at a managerial level, supervisory as a minimum. You must be a confident Manager both with your team and clients, technically strong and able to workboth independently and as part of a team.There is scope to achieve fast progression to Senior Manager for the individual who can settle in quickly and prove their ability to operate at a more senior level.The culture of the firm is very inclusive, with a high standard of delivery and professionalism at all times.
