Sarah McKenna HR is proud to be working in partnership with Tyneside Cinema as they expand the team to support their exciting future plans.Like most organisations in the Arts Sector, Tyneside Cinema has faced a challenging 12 months but with a new CEO and strengthened Senior Leadership Team, the time for change is now.About the roleThe newly created role of People Manager will play a key part in laying strong people foundations to ensure the future success of the North East’s leading independent cinema as it embarks on a period of significant change. The main focus of the People Manager role will be to establish an effective and supportive HR function, implementing positive change following on from a recent independent review and to contribute to and influence a positive and inclusive culture at work. Creating a culture where our team feels valued, safe and able to contribute to the continued success of the Cinema.Our People Manager will also be responsible for creating engaging people strategies and solutions that support the cinema’s main purpose: enriching people’s lives through film. Building a strong and progressive people experience and driving positive behaviours which support the cinema’s core values is key to the success of this role and provides an opportunity to help write the next chapter of this iconic Newcastle venue.This is a hands-on role with responsibility for all aspects of HR, including the strategic plans for the organisation, enhanced workforce performance and positive change management through to day to day operational and transactional HR duties. As a valued member of the Senior Leadership Team this role will report into the CEO.About youThe role is suited to a strong HR Business Partner or an emerging People Manager that has a desire to create positive change and build a culture which will allow the Tyneside Cinema and its team to thrive and grow.This role will be right for you if you’re CIPD L5 qualified, you’ll be forward thinking, willing to collaborate and challenge, and the creator of all things people related.
