Matt Hickford and BMC Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a leading independent Accountancy Practice in the heart of Newcastle in their search for a Payroll Processor to join their thriving team, reporting to the Accounting Services Partner.About youYoull bring experience within a similar payroll position, although there is no requirement for this to be from within another Accountancy Practice.Key responsibilities This is a varied role, with a focus on accurate payroll processing and up to date technical knowledge of payroll requirements. Key duties include:Managing a payroll portfolio of clients, client coordination, processing payrolls, including statutory deductions, starters, leavers, furlough etc.Payroll sizes range from fewer than 10 to circa 800 employees.Setting up pension schemes with various pension providers, complete new scheme declaration, calculate monthly pension submissions and upload schedules to pension providers.Complete re-enrolment process including declaration of compliance.Working closely with clients, managing their deadlines and dealing with payroll queries and issues.Ensuring BACS, RTI and Auto Enrolment submissions are accurate and submitted on time.Preparing furlough claims for UNW clients.Good awareness of employment legal, minimum wage, statutory deductions, employment allowance etc.Other ad hoc duties
