Job Description

Payroll Assistant NEWCASTLE (Ref 541) Permanent£22K, Office Based, 35 hour week + flexible working hours + Amazing benefits!22 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Birthday (3 days additional for 100% attendance)Have you got Payroll experience and looking for a new opportunityWe are really excited to be working again with a respected client for a payroll assistant. Our client prides itself on the amazing benefits package it offers employees and youll be joining a team who will work closely with you to developyour HR skills.Youll report into the Payroll officer, who will oversee your development and build a close working relationship to make this role both rewarding and enjoyable!If youre ready for the challenge get in touch!The Role will include:

  • To collect all necessary data to enable the preparation of the monthly payroll.
  • To assist with the preparation of the monthly payroll for all stakeholders.
  • Assist in resolving any queries arising from staff in respect of payroll.
  • Liaise with HMRC at such times as required ensuring submission of all statutory filing requirements and satisfying all compliance requests.
  • Assist in the maintenance and submission of company pension scheme.
  • Undertake appropriate training to enable you to effectively and efficiently use any of the technology currently used by or subsequently introduced into the firm.
  • Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies
Key Skills/Experience:
  • Ideally payroll experience
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs grades 4 or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good Organisational skills and methodical approach
  • Ability to work towards shared goals and objectives
  • Ability to identify where problems may arise and adopt a solution
  • Demonstrate effective communication and good interpersonal skills
  • IT literate
