Job Description

We are looking to recruit a highly experienced Package Manager to work across several key schemes in the North East of England. With so many stand-out projects and opportunities ahead, now is the perfect time to join our family-owned business, and proudly build Britains future heritage with us.The Package Manager role:As a member of the project team reporting to the project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, coordination and leadership of a number of sub-contractors employed in a variety of trades within the respective area of works.

  • The role requires a high level of interfacing between internal departments and external agencies such as; architects, engineers, sub-contractors and client agents
  • Working with the Commercial staff write the Scope of Works for each package, for which you are responsible for
  • Managing technical aspects of the on and off site works
  • Review package tender information produced by design teams and comment where appropriate
  • Manage numerous packages for your designated area
Your profile
  • Must have Package Management experience and ideally in a variety of disciplines
  • Proven working experience relevant to the technical area of expertise in terms of functionality and capability
  • Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • An understanding of all facets of the construction process and overall construction/civil engineering industry
  • Familiarity with construction software packages, Planning/Programme Techniques
  • Has an understanding of collaboration and the need to develop internal and external relationships
  • Ability to prioritise, plan, schedule and evaluate works
  • Effective written and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel
  • Ideally an Associate or graduate membership of construction industry related Professional Body (e.g CIOB,ICE,CIBSE)
  • Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card
