PA/SecretaryOur client is a in longstanding law firm based in the heart of Newcastle with a fantastic reputation.BackgroundWith hybrid working available the role could be the ideal career opportunity for you if you have previously worked as a PA/Secretary and are seeking a new challenge.Reporting to two fee earners you will work in their Public Sector Commercial team, supporting with their day to day commitments.Main Purpose* Ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload.* Maintain fee earners diaries, arrange internal and external meetings, be aware of day-to-day commitments and resolve diary conflicts.* Arranging travel and accommodation.* Liaising with clients as required and as directed by Fee Earners/Project Administrator.* Assist Project Administrator with monthly and ad hoc billing to include monitoring of matter estimates, sourcing purchase order numbers and monitoring purchase order value vs spend.* Use precedents as directed and delegated by fee earners/Project Administrator to prepare and draft documents as directed and supervised by Fee Earners/Project Administrator.* Assist with document production and collation as directed by Fee Earners/Project Administrator.* File opening and management in accordance with firm protocols and ensuring compliance with money laundering regulations, any department specific electronic filing protocols (e.g. Commercial) and firm quality systems at all times.Skills required:* Excellent team working skills.* Accuracy and strong IT skills essential, highly proficient in Microsoft Office/Outlook and other IT packages.* Excellent document preparation skills including re-formatting documents, table of contents, formulas, track changes, document comparison packages.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal competently with clients and internal stakeholders of all levels across the firm.* Flexible and proactive approach to supporting the public sector team.
