Job Description

A national tech for good company is looking for a Network Security Architect to join them in a period of technical transformation and stability. Reporting to the Lead Technical Architect, you will focus on the secure administration of thenetwork devices, configurations, and access policies. In addition to this, you will be responsible for best practice implementation of Cisco security applications and tooling including ISE and Firepower.You will develop the security elements for the rollout of digital applications and assist in project delivery and digital improvements across the infrastructure. In addition, you will diagnose, investigate, plan and implement the security enablement elements to improve uptime, system availability and resilience.Key responsibilities include:

  • Administer and develop Cisco ISE and its rollout across the estate
  • Propose best practice security configuration and policy to the Architect and Digital leadership teams.
  • Manage the configuration policies for Cisco ISE.
  • Support the management and administration of the Firewall technology solutions
  • Review existing security across Cisco network devices.
  • Implement Server, Network and Telephony changes according to the agreed architecture documentation and decisions.
  • Develop the Logic Monitor alerting platform to improve the service delivery awareness of the Infrastructure area of Digital Services.
  • Use their up-to-date knowledge of IT infrastructure to identify opportunities to use emerging technology to increase efficiency, reliability and flexibility.
Technical experience required:
  • Cisco CCNP qualification with substantial experience working in a network or network[1]security role in an enterprise or large organisation.
  • Extensive and strong end-to-end troubleshooting skills for system networks and applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of the following technologies:
    • Cisco ISE
    • Cisco ASA/Firepower Threat defence
    • Fortinet Fortigate products
    • Cisco DNA-C
    • Switches, routers, Wifi AP’s
    • MPLS technology
    • An alerting application (LogicMonitor or Solarwinds)
    • Aruba
