This is an exciting time as we stand up our Risk Analytics Centre of Excellence (RACE). Our ambition is todrive forward enhanced modelling capability by providing:
  • Consistency: Modelling choices conducted consistently across models removing incoherence between outputs.
  • Best practice sharing: Advanced modelling approaches (e.g. ML, monte carlo simulation, OpenBanking data) rapidly shared.
  • Delivery speed: Ability to load balance across a large, centralised team of similar skill set, building on pre-existing data sets and codes and rapidly engage with system implementation.
  • Efficiency: Consolidated model landscape with re-use of engineered and cleaned data and validated code snippets
The Senior Reporting Manager is responsible for the provision of accurate and timely reporting, data and MI utilised for credit risk management within the retail portfolios. This ensures the portfolio risk and automated decisioning abilities are alignedto risk appetite and regulatory requirements and are appropriately monitored.Day to day youll
  • Design and maintain the controls for providing effective reporting to facilitate and provide insightful end to end, current and emerging risk summaries through the governance framework to Board level.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies across the MI suite and wider team.
  • Managing a small team of highly technical risk specialists capable of complex analytical workloads, across a broad model landscape.
  • Providing support to the wider business in the form of data/MI provision and credit expertise
  • Deputise for the Senior Manager, Model Management and Monitoring, as required
  • Development and continuous improvement of reporting processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Ensuring timely and quality implementation of changes to MI/data management systems.
  • Manage the relationship with model developers and users to ensure an appropriate and insightful performance summary is captured and understood through the governance framework.
  • Supporting the team and individual development - enhancing core capabilities/processes
There are a few essentials you need to bring
  • Qualified to degree level in a numerical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced user of using appropriate reporting tools e.g., SAS, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent BI platform.
  • Significant experience in building complex reporting tools with high levels of automation and controls
  • Experience in Banking and credit risk management, specifically credit models and portfolio management
  • Experienced in building trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in coaching and managing a team
  • Excellent data interpretation and presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tell a compelling story, persuade, influence and communicate complex messages clearly across all levels across the organisation
  • Ability to quickly understand the commercial drivers and technical issues underpinning products
  • Ability to think in a strategic manner and take the longer term and wider business view into consideration
The icing on the cake.
  • Knowledge of IRB and/or IFRS9 modelling methodologies
  • Knowledge of established and emerging industry practices to bring to the table.
  • Specialist knowledge of reporting techniques and processes
