Marine Service Engineer / Service Technician / Offshore Engineer required to join a leading Marine Engineering Distributor.The Successful Marine Service Engineer / Service Technician / Offshore Engineer will provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of medium and high-speed engines, UK-wide and Globally.The Marine Service Engineer / Service Technician / Offshore Engineer will ideally have a marine engineering background in engines, pumps, compressors, generators, valves, or similar mechanical/marine equipment. Package£35,000 - £45,000OvertimeCompetitive offshore allowances25 days holiday + bank holidaysCompany pensionAdditional benefitsMarine Service Engineer / Service Technician / Offshore Engineer roleTo provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of medium and high-speed engines.The Marine Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, and fault finding of marine and offshore equipment such as engines, pumps, compressors, generators, valves, or similar mechanical/marine equipmentPerform assigned tasks to agreed timescalesPerform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs Liaisewith various engineering departments.Marine Service Engineer / Service Technician / Offshore Engineer requirementsProven experience carrying out major medium and high-speed engine overhaulsExperience as a Marine Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Installation Engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, Pump Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, M&E Engineer, Electro-Mechanical Engineer or similar in Marine Engineering.Be prepared to travel Worldwide, sometimes at short notice with anti-social hours when vessels are in port.Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.Engineering background in engines, pumps, compressors, generators, valves, or similar mechanical/marine equipment. Full product training provided.An engineering qualification would be advantageousWillingness to commute to Newcastle, travel UK and wide and globally when required.
