Job Description

We are representing our volume manufacturer in their search for a Maintenance Team Leader. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of Shift Maintenance Technicians working day shift.   • Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager
  • Lead a Team of Shift Maintenance Technicians working continentals shifts
  • Liaise with the Shift Manager to understand shift targets and to gauge the best times to carry out planned maintenance
  • Delegate duties to technicians during the shift, prioritising tasks to ensure machinery runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Ensure breakdowns are dealt with as quickly as possible to reduce downtime
  • React to shift electrical and mechanical breakdowns
  • Have a Shift handover with previous and oncoming Shift Maintenance Team Leaders to discuss breakdowns, potential issues and tasks that need to be handed over.
Person Specifications:
  • Must be a time served Maintenance Engineer with the ability to deal with all Electrical Mechanical Faults that arise
  • Experience of leading and motivating a small team of technicians, with the ability to develop skillset
  • Experience of working within the FMCG is desirable
  • Excellent fault finding and problem solving skills are essential
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
