Job Description

Learning and Development Team Leader (Coordination)NewcastleLHH (formerly Badenoch & Clark) are partnered with a leading international law firm, assisting them with the appointment of a Learning and Development Team Leader (Coordination) in Newcastle.The L&D team provide business skills, personal, leadership and management development courses/programmes, which are available to all employees globally. The courses are delivered by the in-house learning and development team, in tandem with selected externalsuppliers. The L&D team use a variety of teaching and learning methods including presentations, case studies, a variety of exercises and keynote speakers from the firm, to ensure that peoples different learning styles are catered for.As the Team Leader, the successful candidate will have line management responsibility of up to 4 L&D Co-ordinators, and report into the L&D Practice Manager themselves. This position is focused on the coordination and facilitation of L&D courses and processes (not on the delivery of training). For this role we are looking for a strong coordinator with experience managing a team.Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively planning and allocating the curriculum of training, ad-hoc work and projects, and monitor progress in collaboration with the L&D Manager
  • Monitor and allocate work to the Co-ordination team and ensure all tasks are being carried out in an effective and timely manner
  • Main point of contact for the global programme delivery plans for the year
  • Management of the L&D Co-ordinators, inclusive of performance management, professional development, appraisals, hiring and team inductions, and general day-to-day operational management
  • Point of contact for stakeholders across the business in regards to L&D
