Job Description

IT Technician – NewcastleRef: ITT2JBVVenn Group’s North East IT team are recruiting for experienced IT Technician’s! We are currently representing multiple organisations in the area and have both short- and long-term contract positions available depending on what you wouldprefer.Location: NewcastleRate: £13 – 17 per hour (dependant on PAYE or Umbrella)Duration: 6 monthsStart:ImmediateDay to day duties:Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT support to customers, addressing all IT support-related issues
  • Perform printer fixes and image-rebuilds of mobile devices, PCs, laptops, and tablets
  • Maintain, configure, and build both hardware and software elements of the organizations systems, whether physical or virtual
  • Handle both remote support and desktop support tasks
  • Have knowledge of SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) in a professional environment
  • Utilize remote support tools extensively
  • Take responsibility for incident and problem management
  • Accurately record customer information to ensure timely completion of incidents and requests
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Write technical documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base
Required Skills:
  • Experience in providing IT support in an enterprise environment
  • Proficiency in Windows 10, Office 365, Active Directory, Azure platforms, and Microsoft packages
  • Knowledge and expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational skills
