The RoleWork within the Digital department as Infrastructure Engineer assisting the Infrastructure manager with the maintenance and improvements of the WAN, LAN, SAN and VOIP platforms. The Infrastructure Engineers will assist in the delivery of the Infrastructureand Security strategies, ensuring they are delivered on time and in budget.Key Responsibilities: Assist with the delivery of a 24/7 Infrastructure in accordance with defined SLAs Work with the Infrastructure Manager to ensure Changes are planed and implemented in a structured and assured way Support the delivery of an IT Infrastructure which is inline with Information Governance and Information Security policies Assist with regular testing of the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans and contribute to their ongoing review Support all Service Mobilisations Assist in infrastructure incident management and resolution Review the output reports of the backup system and report any failures to the Infrastructure manager Action any alerts generated by the monitoring systems in a timely manner Contribute to the infrastructure change programme Assist with the transition of IT systems to Hosted environments where required Highlight Infrastructure Risks to the Infrastructure manager for action Abide by all Security policies and procedures Support the IT Service Desk function Contribute to the Infrastructure, IT Security strategy and contribute to overall IT process design Assist with weekly and monthly analysis reporting Assist with capacity planning and reporting Proactively seek opportunities from across the organisation to improve the infrastructure Maintain good working relations with all key suppliers Assist with the documentation and change control processes associated with the infrastructure. Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT systems by assisting in the implementation and embedding of IT best practice Maintain positive and effective working relations with all stakeholders Train other members of the team and end users in processes and applications Contribute to regular on-call functionThe PersonPrevious experience of supporting a large scale IT infrastructure (including networking and telephony) is required, ideally with previous project support experience. Previous experience of delivering 24/7 availability of infrastructure uptime at 3rd line willbe required, including specific experience of the following: Strong knowledge of networks, ideally Cisco network products. Strong knowledge of telephony systems Experience of working with ISO standards e.g. ISO9001, ISO27001 etc Microsoft SQL Cluster administrationExperience of the following would be highly desirable: Shoretel administration experience Linux/Unix administration experience ITIL Certification Vlan Wlan MPLS/VPLS utilising OSPF and BGP Juniper firewalls VMware Exchange 2013 Office 365 deployment HPE 3PAR Windows 2012 Server Active Directory Administration Citrix Cisco CCNA
