Job Description

The RoleWe are seeking an Global Bid Writer with experienced in managing complex bids and strong background in governance. You will be responsible for bid planning and to gain full understanding of bid requirements to produce high quality bid documentation that isdesigned to win new business.

  • Lead and assist in project managing large complex bids to tight deadlines gaining a full understanding of bid requirements to produce the required deliverables.
  • Liaise appropriately with tendering organisations; effectively manage responsibility for the submission.
  • Capable of managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Drive the bid process through the analysis of the bid/no bid criteria; lead the kick-off meeting; manage quality and commercial aspects of bid inputs; preparation of the bid documentation, writing & capture planning and satisfactory completion of proposals;lead proof-reading, design, layout, formatting and editing of documents.
  • Follow bid process and governance
  • Work closely with the Sales and Business Development Teams to identify viable bidding opportunities in line with strategic goals and to support the consistency of strategy within the bid process.
  • Define bid schedule and monitor progress.
  • Collate inputs from across the bid team (virtual bid teams included).
  • Liaise with support functions to ensure risks, liabilities and cost drivers are identified and manage the risk register
  • Lead with the completion of pre-qualification documents for PQQ stage.
The role will require a flexible individual willing to travel within UK and abroad and be away from home as required and willingness to work longs.The Candidate
  • Ideally IT / Telecom or transportation background.
  • Experience working in a project-based environment.
  • Proven experience managing complex bids and multiple deadlines.
  • Must have 5 years minimum hands on bid management experience.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Management / Engineering or equivalent qualification and / or experience (APMP foundation certification) beneficial.
  • Strong communication and Presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
