Job Description

Full Stack LAMP Developer£40,000 - £45,000PermanentAre you an experienced Full Stack LAMP developer looking for a new challengeAre you looking for a company with a great bonus and benefit schemeAre you looking to join a company with great growth potentialThen we are partnered with the perfect company for you!Who are theyOur client is a great company based out of Newcastle who provide web based occupational health software to a wide range of customers. Our client focusses on providing a secure and easy to use only system for occupational health records, with the emphasis being security, reliability and simplicity.What will you be doing

  • You will be working a standard schedule of Monday - Friday, 10-3 (flexi time), currently remote but with office based when feasible.
  • You will be troubleshooting and problem solving with our software
  • You will take part in PHP application development
  • You will be reporting to the lead developer on a regular basis
  • You will take full ownership of key tasks and projects
  • You will be maintaining and improving existing legacy code
  • You will be responsible for scoping, planning and delivering new system functionality
  • You will be expected to manage your time effectively
    • What are we looking forWe are looking for someone with a wide experience base to get started straight away and make an impact on projects. We are looking specifically for someone with strong collaboration and technical skills. Alongside this we will need someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in the following;
  • OOPHP V5.6 and 7.x - should be able to write well-structured code, adhering to the latest PSR standards
  • MySQL (including MyISAM and InnoDB) - should be able to write well structured, normalised and efficient database schemes
  • Good working knowledge of Laravel Framework or other structured MVC Framework
  • JavaScript - Native and jQuery, plus VUE ideally
  • Good understanding of Linux OS based server environment (Debian/Ubuntu preferable)
  • Good knowledge of GIT Version Control
  • Understanding of Web Security Standards and GDPR
  • Knowledge and previous experience using Amazon AWS
    • What are they offeringFor this position they’re offering a competitive starting salary of £40000 - £45000 depending on experience, 24 days annual leave and a great company bonus and pension scheme. They are currently offering a remote working environment due to Covid however once able will be providing a casual dress code and company away days.
