Job Description

ID: 11017Job Title: Front End/Frontend DeveloperLocation: Newcastle upon TyneSalary: up to £30k DoEOur client, a very successful online retail organisation based on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne, is looking for a Front End Developer to join their team. As Front End Developer, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the company’s websites across their various brands and CMS platforms.Required Skills:

  • Previous experience developing websites and pages for a commercial purpose.
  • Knowledge of at least one CMS platform (e.g. WordPress, Shopify, Magento, Drupal, Umbraco, Joomla).
  • Experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
  • Basic debugging and code testing skills.
  • Basic understanding of the principals of version control and cross browser compatibility testing.
  • Even better if:
  • You have experience using Shopify Liquid Code, Tailwind.css or Alpine.js
  • You have prior experience in website design, UI or wireframing.
  • You have any experience using Github / Bitbucket from the command line.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update the company’s various e-commerce websites and develop high quality, impactful website content that compliments ongoing marketing campaigns.
  • Develop maintainable, accessible code which will be integrated into content management systems.
  • Be constantly innovative, identifying areas for fixes and improvements and actioning them where required.
