Job Description

Becoming an IT Field Service Engineer with Capita Technology Solutions:A vacancy has arisen for a field-based engineer to work within our Field Services team on behalf of Capita Technology Solutions based in North East England. Ideally you should be based around Darlington or Newcastle. However, the role will primarily cover the North Yorkshire & Northumberland area.This is an expanding and challenging role that provides a front-line interface between our high-profile customers and Capita Technology Solutions. Working to tight Service Level Agreements to ensure Field Services meet their Key Performance Indicators measurements in Response, Resolution & First Time Fix for our customers.To be successful you will have experience of:

  • Working laser printer knowledge, preferably with equipment from the following manufacturers:
  • Oki, HP, Brother, Samsung and Kyocera
  • Operational understanding of current in-service Microsoft Operating Systems and MS Office products.
  • Excellent customer facing skills.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Team Player.
  • Proven experience within a similar IT support role.
  • Self-Management with Good Organisational Skills.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Ideally, applicants should have (or be working towards):
  • Dell, Lenovo or HP Desktop & Laptop Accreditations.
  • Working knowledge of printer technology with good problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Oki laser printers preferred, although training will be given.What You Will Do:
  • To resolve faults quickly and effectively on a variety of technologies including:
  • Printers - Predominantly Laser, LED & Dot Matrix (Oki, HP, Brother, Samsung and Kyocera).
  • PCs - (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Generic).
  • Laptops - (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Generic).
  • Thin Client Devices.
  • Configure & replace Routers & Switches.
  • VOIP Phones.
  • Chip & Pin Devices.
  • MS Windows 10
  • MS Office products.
  • Image builds & configuration (Including data backup and recovery)
  • Good Communication and Documentation skills, Written, Visio, Excel etc
