Job Description

Are you seeking an exciting opportunity to tutor children and young people Could you benefit from flexible hours and competitive rates of pay If so, Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with numerous Secondary Schools across the North East, toprovide targeted online intervention for pupils across Upper KS2, KS3 and KS4.Key role highlights:Role:English Tutor; delivering booster sessions across multiple-year groupApplications are urged from teachers specialising in Englishand/or LiteracyLocation: North East England: Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, County Durham, Northumberland, TeessideHours:Full-time or Part-time hours availableSalary:£30 - £35+ per hourStart Date:October 2022Roles and responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted intervention for pupils in KS3/KS4 in groups of up to 6 pupils
  • Lead a timetable developed by the school: creating resources and sessions to accommodate a range of learning abilities, with full support provided
  • Monitor and review pupil progress in line with learning outcomes
Essential Requirements:
  • PGCE, QTS, or any previous tutoring experience within Key Stages.
  • At least 6 months experiences working with the British Curriculum in the UK
  • Level 2 safeguarding trained within the last 12 months, or complete the training with us, free of charge
  • Able to plan and deliver targeted sessions with enthusiasm and creativity
  • Child workforce only DBS, on the update service is highly desirable
  • Must be able to provide 2 graded references
