Job Description

EMPLOYMENT SOLICITOREmployment Solicitor is required by this Legal 500 and Chambers recognised practice based in NewcastleRole OverviewIn joining this firm as an employment solicitor, you will become part of an established practice with a strong presence in the North East market. On offer is the chance to join a team offering a mixture of contentious and non-contentious matters. The teamdeals with High Court and Tribunal cases.The work undertaken is diverse and includes advising on:

  • Breach of restrictive covenants
  • TUPE, restructuring, redundancies, discrimination, disciplinaries, dismissals and grievances
  • Both employers and employees in relation to unfair and wrongful dismissal, breach of contract, unlawful deduction of wages and discrimination claims
Candidate ProfileThe firm is seeking an Employment Lawyer who can demonstrate:
  • Minimum of 2 years PQE in employment work. Ideally you will have experience of contentious and non-contentious work.
  • Strong academic background
  • Willing to get involved in marketing and business development of the department
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experienced in running own files (you will be responsible for the day to day running of a caseload)
