Job Description

The OpportunityAre you a DevOps Engineer who wants to work on world class products and services for a global SaaS business Do you have experience with public cloud (AWS or Azure or GCP), CI/CD, and automation Do you share the values of curiosity, ambition, and collaborationIf yes, then you might be the perfect fit for our client.They are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their software delivery team and work on a number of exciting initiatives and be part of a group where career progression opportunities exist.The role can be undertaken on either a hybrid or remote basis.The RoleAs a DevOps Engineer, as part of a small team, you will:

  • Provision, manage, and improve our cloud infrastructure and services within AWS
  • Build, maintain, and improve our CI/CD pipelines and automate our end-to-end release processes
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation and improvement across the software development lifecycle
  • Ensure their systems are safe, secure, reliable, and performant
  • Monitor thelive services and proactively identify and resolve potential issues
  • Work collaboratively with product managers, software developers, software testers, and other stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant technologies and best practices
You will also have no line management responsibilities, but you will be responsible for the provision, improvement, maintenance, monitoring and decommissioning of the company’s development, test, and production cloud platforms.The RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need experience with:
  • Ideally AWS cloud platform and services
  • Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions
  • Automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
  • Security controls and best practices
  • Monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch
  • Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Though you will solely be working with AWS, applications are also sought from candidates with other public cloud providers.
