Job Description

The CompanyOur client is a market leader in their sector. As part of this growth they are now looking for a motivated Electrical Maintenance Technician on a contract basis, if the chosen candidate impresses during the contract period there is a possibility they couldbe made permanent.The Role

  • Work safely at all times, observing site rules and practices.
  • Carry out all PPM activities as required in maintenance schedule.
  • Provide assistance when required on breakdowns to all plant and equipment.
  • Inform production / manager of timescales and any required escalations.
  • Ensure all mandatory checks are completed and recorded as scheduled.
  • Carry out predictive maintenance and effect repair when required.
  • Identify and implement any improvements to processes and machine.
  • Assist with new machine and equipment installations.
  • Carry out shop work when required (panel builds, PLC upgrades etc).
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Maintaining large machinery on site.
  • All work to be carried out to current electrical regulations, attend and maintain regulations.
  • Identify and maintain spares requirement.
  • Provide shift cover as and when required.
  • Attend training courses when required.
The Person
  • The successful applicant should have a strong Electrical background.
  • HNC and/or time served.
  • Experience in working with PLCs and automated machine control systems would also be an advantage.
  • Experience maintaining large machinery.
