Job Description

Commercial Finance DirectorRemote role with the ability to travel 1-2 days per weekThe Role

  • The Commercial Finance Director will be responsible for the Care Tech business, of which there are 6 brands (the brands are businesses Care Tech have acquired)
  • You will undertake a key leadership role, supporting the Managing Director to ensure budgetary compliance, evaluate new development opportunities and enhance commercial awareness.
  • You will provide financial direction, support & guidance to the Heads of the businesses within the Division - this will include negotiations with external stakeholders
  • Consolidation of monthly results & forecasts
  • Work with the MD and Commercial director on strategy and organic development proposals
  • Prepare capital investment proposals for Board and manage the financials of projects through project life
  • Lead divisional budget process (with the MD)
  • Lead month end process & reviewing monthly homes Gross profit & EBITDA, taking action where necessary & preparing month end commentaries
  • Prepare costings for new referrals and support the business via reviewing fees, ensuring pricing is appropriate
  • Assist with financial due diligence of acquisitions and post purchase integration
  • Trend analysis
Travel will form part of the role and you can expect to travel at least 1 day per week. There are also set meetings across the month (set by the MD) which the Commercial Finance Director will need to attend (these are currently both in person and onlinemeetings)There is a large degree of flexibility around remote working (3-4 days at home, 1 day Newcastle office or Potters Bar office (if desired) and 1 day travelling)The PersonAs the Commercial Finance Director:-
  • You will be a Qualified individual (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) and an experienced finance business partner
  • Have the ability to communicate complex financial information in a straight forward and palatable fashion to non-finance colleagues, educating where necessary
  • You will have proven experience and be able to influence, challenge and drive decision making
  • Be an experienced commercial/operations finance professional
  • Have the flexibility to travel a minimum of once per week (you are in control of your travel plans)
