Job Description

Interaction Recruitment are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join our clients team in the Newcastle Upon Tyne area. As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precisioncomponents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and quality specifications.
  • Utilize your extensive experience in CNC programming to create efficient machining programs using ISO, Fanuc, or HAAS programming languages.
  • Produce conforming first-offs and ensure adherence to quality specifications, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Work to tight tolerances, maintaining high standards of precision throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct quality control checks and accurately measure parts using modern measurement tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimize machining processes, minimize waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Work independently and demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management, providing regular updates on job progress and any challenges faced.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years of post-apprenticeship CNC programming, setting, and operating experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with ISO, Fanuc, or HAAS programming would be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to produce conforming first-offs to engineering drawings and quality specifications.
  • Familiarity with modern quality control standards and proficient in measuring parts accurately.
  • Experience working with tight tolerances and maintaining precision throughout the machining process.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Adherence to safety guidelines and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Our client offers a competitive pay rate of £18 per hour with plenty of overtime available, paid at enhanced rates.
