The roleAs a Bids Manager in the Strategic Bids Team your role will consist of running the bids process, creating and editing content and ensuring successful submission of high quality, visually appealing RfP responses. Your key areas of focus will be energy projectsand banking.Your remit will cover every stage of the bids process from qualifying opportunities, through kick off meetings and win/loss reporting. The role will require you to work on all types of bids including projects, transactions and panel appointments.You will report to the Head of Bids, work alongside the teams other Bid Managers and Executives. You will have day-to-day management responsibilities of Bids Executives.What you will be doing: Identify bid opportunities in the market Lead bid qualification and compliance processes Lead and facilitate scoping / kick-off and all aspects of bid response: planning, structure, format, content, messaging, proofing and submissionusing a deliverables matrix for all bids Provide project management/document control for all areas of the bid Initiate client research Provide coaching and guidance to fee earners regarding client engagement throughout the bid lifecycle Develop an appropriate response strategy to ensure a bespoke response Engage and matrix manage all contributing functions including: pricing, compliance, business development and knowledge Provide coaching for presentation rehearsals and Q&A sessions where necessary Lead client feedback and internal debrief Manage housekeepingupdating bid systems for bid reporting and enhancing future content Embed best practice throughout the bid process and provide training and ad hoc coaching to business development colleagues to develop bid management skills as appropriate Build relationships with key partner stakeholders in that areaWhat youll need to demonstrate: Experience as a commercially minded bid manager Unrivalled attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with excellent project management skills Ability to liaise confidently and build relationships with people of all levels, creating confidence with your approach Strong written English language skills for drafting, editing and proofing Agile approach to workload and demonstration of flexibility
