Job Description

We are looking to appoint a qualified ACA/ACCA Audit Senior to join this large firm as they look to build their team in Newcastle.With a vision to embrace and invest in technology they are able to offer employees the opportunity to work with the latest technology and data analytics which provides not only a more efficient service to clients, it also makes this position more exciting for the employee.From working with small businesses to large names, the firms clients will rely upon robust financial statements, information and processes enabling you to provide meaningful insights into their accounting and reporting matters. More than ever, business is about interpreting and reacting to complex data and your role will be to provide advice and services to assist, handling complex audit procedures across a broad range of industries.With complete support from the firm to provide you with the ongoing tools and skills you require to keep developing, your role will expose you to clients that will rely upon you to resolve complex issues as their credible advisor.We are looking for a qualified Auditor who can take the lead on fieldwork, managing performance and keeping engagement leaders updated on audit engagements. With a strong background in leading, planning and reporting on corporate audits you will be responsible for completing all audit processes and documenting higher-risk areas to increase your technical and business skills in areas including revenue, financial instruments and income taxes.As a strong communicator you will regularly engage with clients providing professional advice throughout transactions at the same time as identifying potential opportunities within the business that may require the support from other service lines within the practice.You will find this role will test your technical knowledge and as well as your people skills. For those that do well, you can expect to see a fast route to Assistant Manager and beyond.We are seeking an individual with exposure to corporate external audit across a range of industry sectors including manufacturing, technology and the service sector. Awareness of SOX 404 and applying UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge is also essential.As a firm who are investing heavily in technology, you will find that unusual to most audit positions the enhancements have seen improved efficiencies in the audit process, reducing hours and creating a better work life balance for all staff.
