Job Description

About the roleBalfour Beatty are currently looking for an Administrator to join the Compliance team in HR Shared Services function based in Longbenton, Newcastle upon Tyne.The HR Shared Service is the HR administration and Payroll section of the HR Enabling Function providing critical, continual administrative support to employees throughout their entire life cycle; from on boarding new starters through to the day they leavethe company and every aspect in between. HR Shared Services is made up of core administration teams and specialist teams who look after our 16,000 UK based employees across a range of roles in construction, utilities and Rail.This particular role will help oversee, support and improve overall compliance of internal and external HR and Payroll processes across HR Shared Services.What youll be doingAs a Administrator you will:

  • Support, Coordinate and manage changes to process collateral held within the Business Management System.
  • Support investigations and produce reports on all data incidents and service failures within HR Shared Services.
  • Support the coordination of internal and external audit activity and liaising with key stakeholders for relevant authority.
  • Complete Data Subject Access Requests (DSRs) from employees, customers, solicitors etc. maintain good communication and log and maintain details on tracking and CRM Systems.
  • Update and maintain Compliance records to feed into Business Continuity plans.
  • To complete and document scheduled reviews of key processes and produce reports to inform on process improvement.
  • Support end to end process improvement initiatives with key stakeholders including workshop planning, producing key documents, action management and reporting.
Who were looking forOur ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience of internal compliance processes within a Shared Service environment.
  • Experience or knowledge of implementing process improvement activity.
  • Experience or knowledge of investigating and reporting on major incidents/service failures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to working in a varied role.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection Law (desirable)
  • Excellent organisational skills.
