Job Description

Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant,Accountant or Finance Manager looking for a new permanent roleReed Accountancy are delighted to be working in partnership with a well established business within the Newcastle upon Tyne area. who are looking to recruit an Accounts Manager.Working closely with the Finance Director, you will be responsible for carrying out all necessary accounting and control of client monies with the assistance of a dedicated Accounts Assistant.Candidates who are currently studying for AAT qualification or higher are welcomed and will be supported during this processExperience of working in a property management financial role is preferred as is experience with the use of the QUBE System. Candidates without this experience will be considered only if they have significant experience in working to tight deadlines anda broad understanding of the main duties listed above.Good organisation skills are a pre-requisite of the role, as is the ability to be organised and prioritise workload.It is essential that any successful candidate will be able to display a proven track record of working individually or part of a team are essential.Job Duties include:

  • Carry out day to day Service Charge, maintenance, reconciliation, budget setting and control
  • Produce Client Statement runs
  • Production of reports for internal and external clients reporting
  • Produce Client VAT Account
  • Submit Non-resident Landlord Tax returns, reports and certificates
  • Set up of new management instructions and entering any opening balances
  • Provide Client, tenant & supplier liaison
  • Process high volume purchase ledger transactions for multiple clients & properties
  • Carry out supplier reconciliations & payment runs
  • Issue demands and Vat receipts
  • Carry out TDS reconciliation and registration
  • Account for Utility & insurance recharges
  • Perform daily & monthly bank reconciliations (In absence of accounts assistant)
  • Issue rent & service charge demands
  • Process client rental income statements
  • Carry out credit control as and when required
  • Ability to use Qube property management software
