Are you a Accounts Assistant with payroll experience looking to join a secure and well established companyBMC Recruitment Group are delighted to be working alongside a well established business in the Newcastle upon Tyne area who are looking for an Accounts Assistant who holds end to end payroll experience. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be an integral part of the finance team who will be responsible for all accounts related in terms of the raising of sales and purchase invoicing, updating cashbooks, various reconciliations and preparation of weekly payrollsfor the groups companies. This is a varied and dynamic role as sometimes no two days are the same and the whole team work together on different tasks to make sure the accounts department runs efficiently. Job duties include: * Reporting directly to the Management Team within the accounts department which consists of Finance/Office Manager, Assistant Office Manager and Assistant Finance Manager* Assisting with the preparation of weekly payrolls across 3 companies which includes the checking of timesheets, clock cards and daily worksheets* Ensuring that all payroll legislation is adhered to in line with HMRC specifications* Maintaining holiday records, sickness records, and preparation of absence and attendance reports* Maintaining employee personnel records and assisting with HR duties e Preparation of monthly PAYE and NIC reports* Inputting of purchase invoices, which includes checking against purchase orders, requisitions.* Reconciliation of supplier statements* Raising of Sales invoices* Inputting of sales and purchase cash to supplier and client accounts* Administering manual cashbook* Assisting with month end procedures* You will be part of the accounts team who provide support to other departments ensuring company standards are maintained* Deliver Professional High Level of Output.Personal Specification:* Background in Payroll and Accounts duties* Proactive with the ability to time manage, coordinate and problem solve Excellent IT skills & Excel ability.* Excellent organisational and communication skill with the ability to efficiently coordinate and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline driven environment* Ability to work in a team as a key member however also having the ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with a high level of independence and ownership
