Job Description

Warehouse OperativeOur client is a prestigious manufacturer who is now seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to start ASAP for their busy distribution centre.Hours: 8am to 5pm - - Saturdays are occasionally available to work as overtimeBonus scheme - after probationary period of 3 months, could increase your salary to £20-24.5K depending on experience.Your role:

  • Pick orders, currently using a paper system. However, a barcode scanner system is currently under development which we are looking to implement with the assistance of the successful candidate.
  • Packing
  • Replenishing stock in location
  • Using internal DMS to update tracking details upon dispatch
  • Handover of parcels to courier at specified collection time
  • Monitor stock levels of packing supplies
  • Organising the warehouse, moving bulk products where necessary
  • Loading and unloading deliveries, checking of goods in/out back to paperwork, etc
    • The person:
  • 2 + years previous proven warehouse experience with solid work
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness is also required as some lifting will be involved
  • Be able to work responsibly in an organised and efficient manner
  • All applicants applying for this vacancy must be available long term and have a steady work history
  • Desirable: - The candidate will require good numeracy and literacy
  • Full Driving License
  • Attention to detail is a critical skill
  • Applicants must be reliable and able to work on own initiative
  • Stock Control responsibility
  • Fork Lift truck certification would be advantageous
