Job Description

Roman Recruitment are currently recruiting a Transport Planner for an international supplier of transport services. They are seeking a Transport Planner due to expansion in the business.The Transport Planner position will involve you; dealing with the planning and routing of vehicles for a fleet of vehicles, handling customer enquiries and also supervising drivers.This would be an ideal opportunity for a Transport Planner to get into a growing provider of transport services and progress your career in the future. You would ideally have experience with Customs clearance.Transport Planner Overview

  • The planning and routing of vehicles for a fleet of vehicles, which includes the routing of outbound deliveries and sourcing of backloads
  • Dealing with customer enquiries by email and telephone
  • Supervision of drivers’ on a day-to-day basis
  • Providing import and export based customs clearance
  • Ensure all health & safety policies are adhered to
  • General administration duties in line with transport legislation, company policies and procedures
    • Transport Planner Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Transport Planner/Coordinator position
  • Experience with customs clearance
  • Geographical knowledge of the UK
  • IT Literacy and administration skills
  • Full UK drivers’ license
    • Transport Planner Remuneration
  • Salary £20,000 - £30,000
  • Hours Monday to Friday
  • Holidays 20 days + 8 days bank holiday
