Our client is a specialist consultancy offering a range of services to businesses and individuals. They are seeking an individual who ideally has worked within local authority within planning previously and is seeking a more flexible, part-time role. Therole will include:* The work is wide-ranging in nature and content and the role will require you to work with a minimum of supervision liaising with clients, contractors, and local authorities.* To undertake planning applications for the firms clients. These may range for a single dwelling to small - medium scale housing schemes, mineral extraction, and inert waste disposal and in the leisure area inland marinas with associated ancillary development.* To project manage environmental impact assessments for planning applications including preparation of requests for scoping and full EIA statements.* To prepare written reports.* To lead team projects such as planning applications and EIAs and manage sub-contractors. To liaise directly with clients as well as LPA departments and other Government Agencies.* To lead the firms town and country planning related work and to ensure that the firm is kept fully up to date with emerging legislation. To maintain project budget control and to assist generally in the running of the office and to be responsible for owntime management and to assist in winning new business.
