Action for ChildrenCirca Salary:£26,700 per annum (including Sleep in allowance £50 each and on call allowance £700 per annum)Contract/Hours:Full-Time working 37 hours a weekpredominantly Monday to Friday. 9am to 5pm. Young people get the opportunity to relax, have trips out and learn new skillsAs the Team Leader you will be working closely alongside the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the service and ensuring the staff team are supported within their roles. Providing a stimulating and target driven working environment whilst supportingthe children and young people to have a voice within the home.You will make a difference by:-Managing and leading a team of residential professionals and other staff as directed in the delivery of a 24 hour rota (including management of shifts), utilising Action for Children policies and procedures to enable staff to provide a responsive, high quality,person centred service.-Building and maintaining positiverelationships by providing emotional/social support to young people, who can display challenging emotional and social difficulties-Taking the leadwith case/care planning management for children or young people.-Undertaking assessment of need, development of care plans and identifying agreed outcomes for the children and young people. You will be carrying out regular reviews of young peoples paperwork and package of support, in conjunction with the children, youngpeople, their families and professionals from their wider support network.-Supervise, guide, and direct and train the staff team and volunteers where required and provide induction and mentoring for newly appointed staff.-Deputising in the managers absence, liaising with stakeholders and a range of other professionals and by taking the lead in specific areas of the service such as compliance, health and safety and service monitoring.You will need:-A minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent such as level 3 Health and Social Care Children and Young Peoples pathway.-Excellent interpersonal skills.-Previous experience in a supervisory/management role.-Experience in managing and prioritising work tasks-A commitment to going that extra mile.-Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.-Flexibility to work shifts to meet the needs of the serviceWorking here is so much more than a job.
