Job Description

We can be very flexible on the Basic Salary and Package to suit the ideal candidate.Supporting the General Managers in forecasting and keeping on top of costs, keeping the board up to date with where contracts are ie ahead or behind or on schedule. It is a hands on role where you will want to be involved with the shop floor to keep up todate with ongoing Projects/contracts gaining an understanding of the real life problems, changes and effects on the revenue.You could be Part or Fully qualified CIMA or ACCA.AT Qualified with at least 2 years experience within a Management Accountant role ideally from an Engineering and or Manufacturing background.This role would suit an ambitious Management Accountant looking to join an exciting young company within an established Global Group. With lots of long term contracts the role comes with great job security and for the ambitious there are lots of opportunitiesfor self development and promotion including Directorship.The Person:

  • Experience in forecasting "cost to complete" orders for accurate revenue recognition, calculation of cost rates, budgeting, preparation and explanation of monthly accounts, interfacing with all levels of management from shop floor to directors, stock inventorycontrol, and dealing with the auditors and their requirements.
  • A qualified accountant, with some experience of working within an engineering or electronics business would be an advantage.
  • An advantage but not essential 2 years Contract or IFRS15 experience
  • Ideally live within a 30 minute commute to Stoke/Newcastle Under Lyme
