Job Description

Credit ControllerAre you an experienced Credit ControllerWorking as part of one of the UKs largest distributors within their sector, this business is a subsidiary within a well known group of companies, you have the opportunity to take full control of specific ledgers - managing all aspects of Credit Controland aspects of Sales Ledger for your designated area.Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Credit Controller is responsible for managing the credit risk of a Portfolio of accounts. This involves the recovery of overdue accounts, timely & effective follow up of short payments, credit limit assessment & settingup new accounts. Posting and allocating cash. Providing information to Branch Managers weekly/monthly.This business offers benefits such as 31 days holiday (including bank holidays) which will increase with service, a retirement savings plan and life assurance!Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience within a credit control and fast paced environment
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
  • Excellent organisational skills as you will be managing 3 ledgers
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with a branch network
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to deal with a high level of workload in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work well in team environment
  • Computer package - CODA and Excel
  • Good sense of humour as we are a team that enjoys working together
