Job Description

Our client is a very well-established global supplier to the automotive industry, with a presence in 30 countries with employess of around 100,000 worldwide.Due to restructure, they are currently seeking a Category Manager to oversee the development and implementation of strategies for assets such as company and rental cars and fork lift trucks.

  • Manage a global strategic supplier portfolio based on customer & internal stakeholder requirements.
  • Negotiate & Conclude Global Supplier contracts
  • Create value and price analyses taking into account the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Requirements
  • Ideally possessing a Degree in Business or Technical Studies or relevant training or qualifications in purchasing
  • Several years of professional experience in purchasing, preferably in the automotive or supplier industry.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office; User knowledge in SAP would be an advantage
  • Excellent negotiating skills and assertiveness as well as excellent communication skills
