Job Description

Assistant Management AccountantWe are exclusively representing a growing PE backed manufacturing firm in Newcastle under Lyme with the recruitment of an experienced Assistant Management Accountant. This role and organisation require an individual who is passionate and motivated to develop a career within finance and build their personalprofile around this International Group of Companies.Based in the UK Head Office, working on a hybrid or onsite basis to suit you, you will be tasked with supporting with the preparation of the management accounts, production of reports and partnering with non-finance personnel around the business.Supported by the Group Finance Manager and the wider finance team your main responsibilities as the Assistant Management Accountant will include:

  • Month End - Fixed Assets, Accruals, Bank Revaluation, exchange rate entry and journal entry.
  • Balance Sheets Reconciliations.
  • Departmental month end reporting
  • Sales - (Month End Reporting, Sales Team Analysis, JMEM ad hoc work, Dispatch reports, Sales Mix Data, cover for Credit Manager)
  • Stock Control
  • Variance Analysis
  • VAT analysis
  • National Statistics Reports
  • Development of reports and improvement of procedures
  • Standard Costing update
  • External Audit
Experience Required
  • Experience within manufacturing although not essential
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Stock accounting/reporting
  • Knowledge of Epicor - advantageous but not essential
Qualifications Required
  • AAT/CIMA/ACCA part or fully qualified - a willingness to continue to develop your skills
