Job Description

Senior Systems AnalystFull time, Permanent, Newark, NottinghamshireSalary DOEOur Client, based in Newark, is seeking a full time, permanent Senior Systems Analyst to join their team. The purpose of this role is to work with the Commercial Systems Design Team to understand business project objectives, liaise with technical designteams and assist project leaders. THE ROLE As Senior Systems Analyst, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate in the identification of potential technical solutions and preparing proposals for modified or replacement systems
  • Working with design team converting business requirements
  • Developing, analysing, prioritising and organising the technical solutions - supporting internal design processes (UML, BPM, Integration Mapping, Swagger - enabling developers and testers to engage with the technical solutions)
  • Evaluating technical project costings
  • Overseeing the onshore deployment and configuration activities as technical design lead
  • Work with various departments ensuring system documentation of the new features is comprehensive, whilst supporting training
  • Working closely with solution architects and supporting teams to evaluate emerging technologies and tools
THE CANDIDATE A suitable Senior Systems Analyst candidate will possess the following:
  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or hold equivalent experience)
  • It would be desirable to have technical industry standard certifications, ie. Microsoft based, Java Stack based, Cloud based, Web Integration (Json, Swagger, Mule), AWS or Azure
  • Strong computer, hardware, software and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and translating into technical solutions
  • Understanding of principles and practices associated with database maintenance, administration and tuning
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training and implementing new applications and systems
  • Working knowledge of a wide variety of programming languages
  • Knowledge of database design
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
Due to the nature of this role, you must be prepared to travel globally when requiredIdeally, as Senior Systems Analyst you will hold a minimum of 5 years experience working with information technologies and system analysis. THE BENEFITS
