Job Description

Sales RepresentativeNewark (Outskirts), Full Time, Permanent£Attractive DOEThis is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative to join a long-established, profitable and market-leading business based on the outskirts of Newark. THE ROLE The ideal Sales Representative will be the principal point of contact between our clients business and its customers and will be able to effectively promote and sell products or services while providing exceptional customer service and fosteringstrong, long-lasting relationships. Key duties to include:

  • Meet sales targets by strategically planning and budgeting for the specific customer group, addressing customer needs, and evaluating product specifications
  • Ensure the quality, effectiveness, safety, and efficiency of department activities, supporting and coordinating specific projects as required
  • Foster strong, long-lasting customer relationships by servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts through proactive communication and understanding of customer needs
  • Organize daily work schedules to efficiently service existing and potential customers, focusing on market share growth and customer retention
  • Scout for new customers and actively engage in new customer acquisition strategies
  • Participate in important fairs and maintain active contact with marketing teams to organize fair participation effectively
  • Support the procurement department with accurate demand forecasting to ensure inventory alignment with customer demand
THE CANDIDATE The successful Sales Representative will ideally be able to demonstrate:
  • 5 + years’ experience in B2B Sales ideally within the agricultural or machinery industrial sectors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience setting sales goals
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of commercial processes
  • Knowledge of the MS Office packages

  • Monday to Friday working pattern (40 hours, 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, early finish on a Friday)
